Our 2013 CSA sign ups are starting!

We are now accepting members for our 2013 Community Supported Agriculture program!  Our boxes of locally grown, fresh organic produce and pasture raised meat and eggs will now be available for a longer season and with more options and variety.  Space is limited and we are expected to sell out this year, as we have in the past.  Please sign up early so we can plan for you and your family!

We encourage you to take the pledge of eating local, organic food this year.  Your membership helps you and your family eat a healthy diet, helps our farm create a healthy ecosystem and economy, and helps the community build a healthy local food system.  It’s a win win win!

Fog Tour and Dinner at the Cafe!

We are gearing up for a fall farm tour and a collaboration with our friends at Main St. Garden & Cafe.  We will be meeting at the restaurant at 3:30 pm on Sunday October 14th to head up to the farm and have a look around.  You will be able to see the ranch, have a glass a wine, and see where all the food for the dinner is coming from.  Next, we’ll head back down the hill for dinner at the cafe prepared by MSGC chef Chris Carloni.  He’ll be fixin up a prix fix menu from the goods straight off the farm.  Sound good?  You in?  Send us an email at info@foglinefarm.com and we’ll hold your spot.  Tickets are just 40 bucks and you can pick them up at our farmers market stands or at the restaurant.  Check out the flyer below!

Please take a look at our new CSA flyer and sign up early because we expect to sell out this year.  We have space for 75 members and we have an early sign up discount so if you get your payments in to reserve your spot by March 1rst, you’ll get a free week of food! More Markets

We are so excited to announce that you can now find Fogline Products at 3 new farmers markets.  We are now selling at the Barnyard in Carmel on Tuesday, the Monterey Peninsula College Market on Friday’s and the Aptos Farmers Market at Cabrillo College on Saturday’s!

Thank you to the Monterey Bay Certified Farmers Market Association for welcoming us so warmly.  We are meeting tons of new friends and great people.

Fogline Farm goes to the Market!

We are super excited to now be at the Downtown Santa Cruz Farmers Market on Wednesdays and the Live Oak Farmers Market on Sundays.  Come by and see us and grab some of our pasture raised eggs, roasted red pepper jam, smoked and dried peppers, and other seasonal goods.

Also, you may purchase our pasture raised broiler chickens at our online store and come pick them up near the markets.  We will also be bringing our pastured pork products to market soon!

In addition our CSA is filling up, but we still have room, so sign up if you still would like the most diverse CSA basket around!

CSA Neighborhood Pick-ups announced!

We’ve gotten together with some of our friends in the community and have settled a few of our pick-up spots in Santa Cruz.  We’ve got Soquel covered at Main Street Garden Cafe.  The Westside at Companion Bakers and the Eastside on 34th Ave in Pleasure Point.  We’re also looking for another pick up spot in the Downtown/Seabright Area, so if anyone out there has any leads or any CSA members who are willing to host and live in that zone, we’ll hook ya up with something nice.  Check out a map of our pick-up sites here.

We’re also planning on offering a bread share through Companion Bakers and special discounts on events held at Main Street Garden.  Stay tuned!

CSA Sign-Ups are here!

The 2011 season is coming up soon and we’re ready to start signing up members.  We only have 60 spots this year and we expect them to go quick.  If you need more information about the CSA check out our Membership Program page.  If you would like to sign up for our CSA program, download the form below and send it in along with your check.   We will be contacting you as soon as we receive your payment for confirmation and a welcome letter.

We’ve also got some new animals on the farm so look out for some pictures to be updated.

FOGJAM!

On a rainy Sunday in October, the crew at Fogline Farm threw a farm party held at the Main Street Garden Cafe.  All produce and meats were sourced from the farm and were prepared beautifully by Chef Brad Briske and the crew at Main Street.  Good times were had by all, including French TV.  Here are a few snapshots from the evening.  Thanks to all who pitched in and made it a memorable event.

Kitchen Time!  Making a roasted Dry Farm Tomato Sauce.

The tomatoes are cut, mixed with a little olive oil and salt, then put into the wood-fired pizza oven to roast.  Next we’ll can em up and give them to the CSA members!
